Samara has extensive experience working with people with depression, anxiety and eating disorders in Australia and the UK. She’s worked in public health as well as privately assisting people with adjusting to difficult life circumstances and processing life’s challenges.

Adjusting to life with diabetes can be challenging and sometimes it’s helpful to get a bit of extra support. Clinical psychologists are trained in evidence-based practice to help understand and intervene with difficulties that are getting in the way of daily living and affecting quality of life. For you, this may look like adjustment difficulties, depression, anxiety, needle phobias, eating difficulties, grief, or lifestyle challenges among other things.

Samara uses both cognitive behavioural and acceptance-based approaches. This means we are looking at the way you think, feel, and act, and how these can form cycles which keeps us stuck. It also looks at accepting what we can’t control, and working on changing what we can.
