PREDICTION STUDY – Seeking participants living with diabetes
The PREDICTION study is exploring the development of diabetes-related complications.
Taking part in this study could help improve the lives of millions of people with diabetes.
Researchers are seeking participants under the age of 50 who:
- are living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes
- were diagnosed after 2015
- were between 15 and 39 years old when diagnosed.
Participation is easy and mostly conducted at home.

Why is getting involved in research trials so important?
Diabetes research isn’t possible without the help of people living with diabetes.
By taking part in a diabetes research study or clinical trial, you can help discover and progress new ways of treating and curing diabetes.

Research studies focus more on non-clinical aspects of living with diabetes or working to prevent diabetes in the future.
Clinical trials are primarily designed to answer specific questions about possible new treatments or new ways of using existing (known) treatments. Clinical trials are delivered to determine whether new drugs or treatments are safe and effective.
