PREDICTION STUDY – Seeking participants living with diabetes

Why is getting involved in research trials so important?

Diabetes research isn’t possible without the help of people living with diabetes.

By taking part in a diabetes research study or clinical trial, you can help discover and progress new ways of treating and curing diabetes.

On the Diabetes Victoria website, you can find information about a range of clinical trials and research studies.

Research studies focus more on non-clinical aspects of living with diabetes or working to prevent diabetes in the future.

Clinical trials are primarily designed to answer specific questions about possible new treatments or new ways of using existing (known) treatments. Clinical trials are delivered to determine whether new drugs or treatments are safe and effective.

Depending on the nature of the research, we recommend seeking advice from your usual medical practitioner, or any other appropriate source before consenting to participate.
