Disordered eating in adults with type 2 diabetes
The Elucidating the experience of disordered eating in adults with type 2 diabetes study is being conducted by researchers from the University of Sydney to better understand the experience of adults living with type 2 diabetes who also experience problematic eating and/or an eating disorder.
Who can participate?
You may be eligible if you:
- Are aged 18 years and over.
- Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
- Are currently experiencing problematic eating and/or an eating disorder.
- Are residing in Australia.
- Are able to read and converse in English.
- Not currently pregnant.
What does participation involve?
If you decide to take part in this study, you will first complete a short 10-minute survey and eating disorder questionnaire. Eligible participants will then be invited to attend an interview (online) that will last up to an hour. The interview will cover questions about your lived experience with type 2 diabetes, your current relationship with food, and how you feel about your body, weight, and shape.
The first 25 eligible participants who attend the interview will be offered a $20 gift card.
