Appointing a Proxy

A member entitled to attend and vote but unable to attend the AGM may appoint a proxy to attend and vote in their stead.

The proxy need not be a member of Diabetes Victoria but should be a natural person over the age of 18.

Proxy forms must be completed online here not less than 48 hours before the scheduled time of the Annual General Meeting, and the proxy must separately register to attend the virtual meeting (via the link above).

Speaking and Voting at the Meeting

The 2024 Diabetes Victoria AGM will be in person and via the Zoom meeting platform. Members attending online will be able to vote via a pop-up poll, make written comments, or request to speak via the Zoom chat function. The chat function will be visible to all attendees upon joining the virtual meeting, and the use of it and other functions will be explained at the time of the meeting.

Instructions for voting via a Zoom poll will be given directly before and during the meeting. Later, a Zoom report will confirm the online portion of the vote count.

While all online attendees will be unable to be seen or heard upon entering the meeting, any member who wishes to speak will be allowed to speak upon request (such a request can be made via the chat function).

The chat function can also be used to make comments or ask questions throughout the meeting.

Please note that the meeting will be recorded.
