Diabetes Victoria volunteers making the world of difference

To express our gratitude for their unwavering commitment and endless enthusiasm, Diabetes Victoria organised a morning tea at our Campbellfield office. It was an important and heart-warming occasion as we came together to honour 11 exceptional volunteers who have tirelessly devoted their time and effort to our cause.

Each of them received a certificate to acknowledge their efforts during a heartfelt ceremony that preceded the morning tea.

We extend our sincere appreciation to these remarkable individuals:

  • Toby Corcoran
  • Evelyn Dunstan
  • Robert Dunstan
  • Russell Durney
  • Jason Durney
  • Pauline Hanaman
  • Mary Hil
  • Peter O’Kearney
  • Barbara Rowley
  • Marcelle Thompson
  • Caroline Zammit

Over the past year, Diabetes Victoria's volunteers have played an instrumental role in our mission, assisting us with a staggering 55,000 pieces of incoming mail. Additionally, they handled more than 5,000 orders for our invaluable printed resources and coordinated the distribution of 60 large mail-outs. Their tireless efforts have made it possible for us to reach individuals in need and raise awareness about diabetes.

Our gratitude extends beyond our exceptional volunteers to Jim Gatiragas, our devoted mail distribution and volunteer coordinator. His tireless efforts behind the scenes have ensured the seamless operation of our volunteer program and have been instrumental in our ability to make a difference in the lives of those affected by diabetes.
