Multilingual helpline

Our Multilingual Helpline number is 1300 801 164. The Helpline is free and easy to use. There are over 170 languages available.

Simply follow these steps:

  1. Call 1300 801 164, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

  2. Say the language (in English) you need

  3. Wait on the line for an interpreter

  4. Talk to Diabetes Victoria staff with the interpreter’s help

Diabetes educators and dietitians

You can talk to our diabetes educators and dietitians when:

  • You or someone in your family has been diagnosed with diabetes
  • You need some help or more information about managing your diabetes
  • You are not sure about your diabetes diagnosis or symptoms
  • You do not understand the information you have been given
  • You are not sure about what to eat

Advocacy Team

You can talk to our advocacy officers when you:

  • Are treated unfairly because of your diabetes
  • Need help to understand your rights
  • Need help to talk about your needs with diabetes
  • Need help to find services
  • Have ideas or suggestions for improving diabetes services and information
