Get ready for a burst of flavor with this quick and easy Pork Mince Lettuce Cups recipe! Savory pork mince is cooked to perfection, then infused with the rich sweetness of kecap manis (sweet soy sauce) and paired with the crisp, refreshing crunch of diced red capsicum. Wrapped in fresh, cool iceberg lettuce leaves, each bite is a delicious balance of savory, sweet, and fresh. Perfect for a light yet satisfying meal or appetizer, these lettuce cups are a fun and flavorful way to enjoy a tasty, no-fuss dish that’s packed with vibrant Asian-inspired flavors!

Ingredients

  • 500g pork mince
  • 3 tbsp. (63ml) kecap manis (sweet soy sauce)
  • ½ red capsicum (100g), finely diced
  • 8 iceberg lettuce leaves (20g each)

Method

1. In a shallow frying pan, sauté the mince and fry until browned.
2. Add the diced capsicum and stir through.
3. Add the kecap and stir well.
4. Break the iceberg into lettuce cups and serve the mince in the lettuce cups.

OPTIONAL: Sauté a little ginger and garlic before adding the mince – they are additional ingredients, but because of their nutritional value, they are ingredients we often have in our fridge.
