About the Life! program

We all want to feel great and have the energy to do the things we love. But taking the first step to better health can feel overwhelming without the right support and expert advice can often be costly and difficult to access.

The Life! program

Is here to help you make gradual, positive changes to your daily habits. By focusing on improving nutrition, increasing physical activity, and managing stress, the program aims to enhance your overall well-being.

Delivered by qualified health professionals, including dietitians and exercise physiologists, Life! offers personalised and ongoing support to help you achieve your long-term health goals. Best of all, the Life! program is free and available across Victoria. You can participate in person, online, or through telephone health coaching.

Throughout the program, you’ll learn about:

  • Eating healthy and nutritious meals
  • Boosting your physical activity levels
  • Improving your mood and sleep
  • Managing and reducing stress
  • Overcoming setbacks
  • Setting and achieving personal health goals

Designed with you in mind, the Life! program consists of seven sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of health. Over time, you will be able to integrate new, healthier habits into your lifestyle. 

Since its launch in 2007, over 75,000 Victorians have joined the Life! program, making it the largest prevention initiative of its kind in Australia. The program is funded by the Victorian Government and managed by Diabetes Victoria.
