A new chapter for Diabetes Victoria

We might look a little different, but our vision and purpose remain the same – we see a future where diabetes can do no harm, and we are dedicated to reducing the impact of diabetes on people, families, communities and health systems.

Why we updated our brand

In the 70 years (and change) since our inception, we have seen significant improvements in diabetes support, care, and research. Still, there is more work to be done, and it is important to stay focused on what we want to accomplish. Our strategy is focused on improving access, empowering people, reducing stigma, prevention, and reducing the impact of complications, while strengthening research that can transform lives.

We have updated our brand to better reflect this renewed commitment and focus, while honouring our connection with community, which has always been at the heart of our organisation.

Our new look

The new Diabetes Victoria logo draws on feedback from our community and members about what we are best known for. It is also informed by our ambitions for the future.

The quotation marks are distinct and represent the valued conversations we have with our members, the broader diabetes community, stakeholders, and government. Every conversation about diabetes matters.

We have also launched a revamped members’ magazine, Diabetes Matters. It has a fresh new look, but it still features all the stories and recipes you know and enjoy, along with local Victorian content and the latest on research from around the world.

What this means for our community

We remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting Victorians affected by diabetes. There will be no change to our existing state-based services or local support programs.
