Glen takes on Down Under 135 for diabetes

Since then, Glen has regained his health and taken his running game to the next level competing in numerous marathons and ultra-marathons.

Glen set his sights on an intimidating challenge – participating in the Down Under 135. He used the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for diabetes.

Down Under 135 is one of the most demanding and extreme foot races in Australia. Covering 217 km single stage non-stop from start to finish, competitors adventure across the single trails of the Lerderderg and Wombat State Forests in Victoria.

Glen raised vital funds for Diabetes Victoria, a cause close to his heart as his wife Ainsley has been living with type 1 diabetes since she was 12 years old.

He decided to take on the challenge in response to the daily challenges he witnesses Ainsley go through.

"While my challenge will end at the finishing post, people living with type 1 diabetes face a never-ending challenge" Glen explained ahead of the race.

Glen was supported by a team of 12 people including pacers and support people.

We wish to thank Glen for generously fundraising for Diabetes Victoria. All funds raised supported vital diabetes research and programs.
