Heading to the MCG?
If you’re planning a trip to the footy througout the 2024 season, you might notice a new security screening process.
If you wear a sensor or insulin pump, you can arrange an alternative screening method. Talk to the security staff at your gate, who will use an electronic wand and complete the check instead.
Visiting the 'G' just got easier
MCG staff will happily assist anyone with diabetes or other medical devices who wish to use an alternative method for the security screening process.

Diabetes Victoria thanks the Melbourne Cricket Ground for its prompt response to concerns from the diabetes community.
The MCG updated its security screening process to allow alternative screening methods for all people with medical devices as soon as concerns were raised. Thank you for understanding the importance of being accessible to all while maintaining venue safety.
